These saves were on my original GameCube, moved to Dolphin a few years ago, moved back to the console around a year ago to get ready for the GCVideo X and then brought back to the PC just before starting this project! Most of those were NTSC saves, so they'll remain dormant for now. I thought I’d already consolidated my GameCube and Dolphin saves from over the years, but I found a really old collection of saves on Dropbox last night where I could track the lineage. I've continued optimising my virtual Wii and GameCube experience and I think I'm all done, at least for now. I have my WaveBird and GameCube controller adapter for Wii U sitting around, ready for the next portion of this process. I'll do more research to decide whether to play GameCube games from my GameCube NAND (if it's even possible yet) or use this existing Wii setup. In the near future I'll consolidate data from all my GameCube memory cards. Both games read the saves from my Wii NAND.ĭolphin, my games and my saves are all stored in cloud storage as a built in insurance policy. I've tested DKC Returns and Skyward Sword. Dolphin allows setting a default game and switching games as if you’re inserting a different disc. Instead of simply running games in the emulator, I run my console operating system. One firmware update later and now my real Wii Remote and Nunchuk are good to go. It is a sensor bar with Bluetooth powered by USB. I bought the Mayflash DolphinBar when it released a few years ago and finally took it out of the box for this occasion.
